Case Study: Renovating a 20-Year-Old Master Bath and Guest Bath in Ashburn for Modern Aesthetics and Comfort
Project Overview:
Loudoun County Kitchen Bath Basement & More was contracted to renovate two bathrooms in a 20-year-old single-family home in Ashburn, Virginia. The homeowner wanted to modernize the outdated bathrooms, which included a master bathroom and a standard Jack and Jill bathroom.
Project Deliverables:
The master bathroom required a complete demolition of old tile, fixtures, and a textured ceiling. The homeowner also wanted the shower enlarged with a custom frameless enclosure for a modern look, greater accessibility, and easy cleaning, complete with hand-held faucets for comfort.
There was also a knee wall in the bathroom that the homeowner wanted removed for a more open look. Loudoun County Kitchen Bath Basement & More replaced the existing sunk-in jacuzzi tub with a standalone tub with a floor-mounted faucet for an updated look and function. New his and hers vanities with quartz countertops and a custom-lighted mirror and vanity lights enhanced this bathroom’s bright and modern look.
For the flooring, the homeowner chose beautiful 12×24 white marble tile. With a new quiet exhaust fan, solid wood cabinets with soft-close drawers, and comfort-height toilets, the new master bath has a luxury feel with high-end finishes.
In the Jack and Jill bathroom, the homeowner wanted to convert the old tub to a practical modern shower and add a double-sink vanity with a new tile floor, mirror, and quiet exhaust fan for a complete renovation.
Project Timeline and Outcome:
The master bathroom renovation took approximately four weeks to complete, while the standard bathroom took about two weeks. The homeowners absolutely loved the results and even referred another customer to us for a basement remodel during the project.
